Wellbrook Winery Wedding: Carrie + Augustine
We met Carrie and Augustine last fall on a cold and stormy night, seriously we were late to our meeting with them because a tree fell across our driveway! After meeting with them we knew we wanted to document their day and as an added bonus they are the NICEST couple ever! Carrie and Augustine had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and door games earlier on during the day and we met with them at the venue to start with bridal party photos. Carrie's parents actually own the blueberry farm and winery but a farmer lives there and takes care of everything.
We were lucky to work alongside some amazing vendors that made the entire day run smoothly. Carrie and Augustine had everything thought out so clearly and for the benefit of their guests. Cocktails, sushi and appetizers were served the entire time before and after the ceremony so that no one would go hungry or thirsty.
As much as the wildfire situation saddens us, the smoke from a fire in Richmond actually put this beautiful haze over the sun which gave us amazing light all day long and not to mention a bit cooler temperatures thankfully. Augustine cried his eyes out as his bride walked towards him hand in hand with her mom and dad. We were not expecting his but man oh man when grooms cry it just really gets me going and I usually end up in tears as well. Their ceremony was so beautiful and watching these two exchange vows surrounded by their family and friends was a moment to remember.
The reception was held inside a huge barn adorned with long tables, impeccable decor and a delicious family style dinner with Earnest Ice-cream afterwards. Carrie and Augustine thoughtfully made their way to each table of guests, raising their glasses and thanking each one of them. We celebrated into the night and ended our time with a sparkler/ice-cream exit with their friends cheering them on.
